gathering all together
lying on a karlstad couch covered with a southwest-style blanket; taking a break from ambient drone for a tribe called quest reading a starhawk book burning a virgin of guadeloupe vigil candle and shoyeido's en-mei incense in a neat cast-iron bowl; wearing a jersey souvenir shirt from 'wall drug' (home of the one hundred foot animatronic roaring t-rex that will DEVOUR YOUR SOUL) and drinking chai masala out of a blue johns hopkins carey school of business logo mug.

if our neighbors have ever noticed us, i suspect they're confused.

what are today's disparate elements, for you?

My new client wants a website that's professional, yet also shows that she's spiritual and does energy work. But, you know, not new-agey. Except totally like that. And in my own website, I also want to come across as professional. Yet friendly and creative and goofy.

My neighbors are pro-guns and JESUS and also build little wooden fairy doors and put them on trees around their yard and around Kailua.

Jill wore a superman shirt and a tutu to school yesterday.

My executive coach is a more effective therapist for me than my therapist is. And my therapist is only good at asking me how my job hunt is going. My dog wanted to snuggle with me on the first day I didn't want to snuggle with her. I couldn't get my work laptop to work well enough to allow me to create a presentation on how our laptops are remarkable leaps forward in technology, so I used a competing machine to finish the work. I found such awesome clothes at the fat girl store that I purposely delayed starting a diet until they mess up a seasonal fashion cycle. I can't find the discs I used to install art programs on my new doodling machine, but instead of finding them, I organized my art supplies in order to find a pen I like to draw with instead. I have an American-made I Ching set and a Chinese-made American flag next to each other on my art desk. And I drank decaffeinated Coke Zero today which existence is more puzzling than a zen koan.

Hmm.

Heh....me in a Catholic church for a first communion celebration today. So awkward, yet painfully poignant.

And I was so disappointed in their very unattractive Mary statue. I really love the Mary statues.
